conjunction with the 39th Annual Mid-America
Trucking Show in Louisville, KY.

keynote speaker. Gary and his wife Pearl, have
been actively involved internationally with truckers through TFC for 20 years.
Joe Hunter, President of TruckStop Ministries, voiced the prayer for
truckers at exactly 9:00AM. Chaplain Joe who will celebrate 30 years in
the trucking ministry this year is heard weekly on the Dave Nemo Truckers show on XM Radio.

as a driver and as an owner operator.
Bob Hataway who
has over 36 years in trucking ministry and is the President of TransAliveUSA hosted the event and served as the
Master of Ceremony. Hataway concluded, "We were happy to present
the first annual International Day of Prayer for Truckers and look
forward to many opportunities in the years to come to continue presenting this
great event."
Ten
years ago, Bob Hataway, Joe Hunter, and Gary Nussbaum met at the Mid America
Trucking Show and planned the National Day of Prayer for Truckers.
This year was the first annual International Day of Prayer
for Truckers as we received requests from drivers from other countries to
include them.
Confir
mation
came from drivers, carriers, trucking companies, owner operators, vendors, truckstops, receivers, and shippers that a moment of
silence was observed at 9:00AM on March 25, 2010 for prayer for the
truckers and their families.
The International Day of Prayer for Truckers is sponsored
by TransAlive USA, Truckstop
Ministries, Transport for Christ, and Tim Young, CEO Mid-America
Trucking Show/EMA in Louisville, KY.
We want to thank the exhibitors who attended. Their concern for
the industry, the drivers and their families was demonstrated by their
attendance.
We also would like to thank Dean Hufford with Association of Christian Truckers for
using his video equipment to provide a presentation of the meeting for those
that could not attend. Dean can be reached at dean@upon-this-rock.com.
The International Day of Prayer for Truckers video is
