First Death Notifications
First Death Notifications are made in person by only ministers!

First Death Notifications are conducted for drivers and their families when a death occurs at home or on the highway. It has been the practice of the industry to use law enforcement agencies to deliver death messages as a result of an accident or illness. While they are both efficient and caring, their work limitations prevent them from providing after care for a driver or a family. The notification of death itself, is just the beginning for helping people cope with the loss of a loved one.

We are the only organization that delivers First Death Notifications to families or to the driver should a family member die. Our technique is the military procedure of sending ministers and in some cases when possible company representatives to the family. We use ministers to deliver these messages at this delicate time in the life of a family as they have both the expertise and the training to adequately help a family cope with death. They likewise have the backup of their church congregation to assist the family in the long term after care that is required. Their continued monitoring and care for the family after death helps to bring the family back as a functioning entity of society.

Companies call us and give us advance notice of the possibility of identification and death. This gives us the opportunity to have people in place to move quickly in the event of actual identification. Our ministers will fervently seek to notify the family even if they are not home by checking with neighbors about possible work schedules and locations or family plans not readily available. They will further assist in locating the family if they have moved.

It is imperative that drivers keep up to date information with their companies to avoid these unneccessary delays and confusion at this most critical time in the life of a family. Even if you know that your records are right, you need to confirm with your office at least twice a year. We have had families who have moved to different parts of the country without the company being aware of the move. The internet, as great as it is for a resource, is not the best instrument for locating people during this time. Keeping your records up to date is the best method for finding your family when they are needed.
